Important Message from MFD Chief Carrico Regarding Oppressive Heat and Fire Danger

August 4, 2022

The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting a period of oppressive heat and humidity lasting through the weekend. Heat indices will range from 95 to 105 degrees across much of the state today and tomorrow, and from 95 to 100 degrees Saturday through Monday.

The Medfield Fire Department is asking all residents to not have any recreational fires until we have significant rain.

Any fires that start may spread rapidly and become difficult to extinguish.
