Michelle Kirkby: Write-In Candidate For School Committee
Medfield resident, Kirkby, announcing she is running for School Committee as a WRITE-IN Candidate for March 28th Town Elections.

Letter to the Voters of Medfield from Michelle Kirkby: Write-In Candidate for School Committee
Dear Medfield Voters,
I’m writing today to ask for your vote as a write-in candidate for Medfield School Committee in this Monday’s election. There are two open seats and only one candidate remains that I wish to support. So instead of complaining, I’ve decided to put my name forward.
I have been an active volunteer in Medfield — previously president of New ’n Towne, current co-president of the Memorial School PTO, and over the last year was very active in campaigning for the Dale St. replacement school project. I’m disappointed in how that vote turned out, but if elected to the School Committee, I will continue to aggressively work towards finding the best solution for our town.

I have three young children (3, 6 & 8) and have been an actively engaged parent and have built strong working relationships with teachers and administrators over the last four years.
I care a lot about our town and am a strong advocate for public education. This is one of the many reasons my husband and I have chosen to raise our children here. Our kids deserve the best this town has to offer. If elected to the School Committee, I will use my strong work ethic and passion for our community to make this happen.
