Motion at Special Town Meeting Defeated
At 3:49pm, the Voting at the Special Town Meeting was announced and the Motion did not carry.
Special Town Meeting Results...
Town Moderator, Scott McDermott called the Special Town Meeting to order promptly at 12:00pm while hundreds of Medfield residents continued to arrive and register.
The Medfield High School Gymnasium was packed, the Library was full, people were beginning to fill seats in the Cafeteria and people in the tented outdoor area were spilling out onto the surrounding lawn.
At approximately 2:20pm, Voting began in all 4 locations, by means of choosing a YES or NO voter card and placing it in a voting box.

1,868 Medfield Registered Voters attended and voted.
Voting results were announced by Town Moderator, Scott McDermott at 3:49pm.

Voting Results:
1,118 YES Votes
750 NO Votes
The MOTION did not carry as the YES votes were 60% of the Vote and to pass it needed 66 2/3%.
