New Life Home Refurnishing is Seeking Donations and Volunteers

New Life Home Refurnishing is asking the public for help.

New Life Home Refurnishing, a Medfield, MA 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that collects gently used furniture and household items from the public and makes them available to individuals and families in need, is asking the public for their help.

“We have been serving our clients from our Walpole warehouse for almost a year now,” said a New Life HR spokesperson, “and during this time we have been able to fulfill the mission of NewLife: to help individuals and families in transition, specifically, those coming out of homelessness, those escaping domestic abuse, victims of fires or floods, veterans and recent refugees. NewLife HR provides them with the opportunity to ‘shop’ for furniture and other household items in our warehouse at no cost to them.”

“In the last few months we have grown by leaps and bounds,” continued the spokesperson, “however, in order to maintain the inventory of furniture and household goods and continue to serve and provide the ever-growing list of clients in need with furniture and other household items, we are asking the public for help. We are requesting donations of all types of household items, but most especially small household appliances, bedding, towels, and furniture of all types.” Donation guidelines may be found at www.newlifehr.org.

Items to be donated may be brought to the New Life HR warehouse every Saturday between 9 and 11. (It will be closed for the holidays between December 23 - January 4). The address is 102 Elm Street in Walpole. The warehouse is located in the mill building adjacent to the railroad tracks. Alternatively, a pick-up may be scheduled by sending an email listing items, address and phone number to info@newlifehr.org.

The second area where New Life HR is looking for assistance is in the area of volunteers. Help is need on Saturday mornings both in the warehouse and in doing furniture pick ups. Likewise, information about volunteer opportunities may be found at www.newlifehr.org.

The mission of NewLife Home Refurnishing is to help individuals and families in transition from the Metro-West and Greater Boston area. The New Life team believes that the opportunity to “shop” from their warehouse of gently used furnishings and household items offers dignity and affirmation to those who have been marginalized.
