Pan Mass Challenge Riders
On Saturday, August 2nd the PMC bicycle riders who began their ride in Wellesley hit the streets of Medfield early in the morning!
Riders from all over the world participate in the August 2nd and 3rd PMC with one mission: raise funds for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Here in Medfield, hundreds of riders came up North Street, crossed Main Street, and headed down Pleasant Street on their way to Bourne .

Medfield Police Sergeant, Rob Hain, helped the riders with traffic duty in order for them to cross Main Street safely. Many of the riders thanked him as they whisked by! Some of these riders continued their ride the next morning on their way to Provincetown.
Annually, the Pan Mass Challenge route (beginning in Wellesley) takes riders through Medfield on the first Saturday in August.

Riders of all ages, all sizes and different bikes took part. This year there were a few unusual modes of transportation including a bicycle built for two and a unicycle!
Several residents from Medfield and surrounding towns cheered on the riders, and rang cowbells encouraging them and thanking them for their commitment to this amazing fundraiser. Mark your calendar for the first Saturday in August next year, and stop by to cheer these riders on!
