Memorial Address given by State Representative, Josh Tarsky...

Tarsky enlisted in the US Army in 2004. After completing basic training, airborne school and the Special Forces Qualification Course, Tarsky earned his Green Beret, deploying three times, twice to Afghanistan and once to Honduras. While overseas, Tarsky earned a Bronze Star, and for actions on the battlefield, an Army Commendation with Valor device. He left active duty in 2010, obtaining the rank of Staff Sgt and transitioned to the MA National Guard, completing officer candidate school, becoming a Military Intelligence Officer. Upon completion of law school and passing the Mass. Bar, he transitioned into JAG where he currently holds the rank of Major and is the senior legal council for the 151 Regional Support Group. In total, Tarsky has served over 20 years in a military capacity.
