Registration Nearly Full for MEMO's Medfield Day

MEMO's 32nd Annual Medfield Day will be held on Sept. 17.

With less than six weeks until Discover Medfield Day, registrations are nearing the limit. 

The annual fall fair sponsored by the Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization Inc, MEMO, will be held on Sept. 17 and more than 100 local businesses, professionals, churches, schools and organizations have reserved exhibit booths. 

The entertainment schedule is nearly complete with a special event included.  Middlesex Bank is soliciting treasures for the silent auction to benefit the scholarship fund and the rides and inflatable activities have been ordered as Palumbo Insurance seeks donors to help defray the costs of each item.  Palumbo insurance, a MEMO member, supplies the policy required for the day.

The really good news is that major corporate sponsors have signed on since the last report.  Clay Family Dealerships is the Gold sponsor, Dr. Geoffrey Glick DMD is a Dr. Stanley Starr DMD are Silver and Bronze Sponsors. Personal Best Karate is also Bronze sponsor and Middlesex Savings Bank is a patron.  Thanks to all these MEMO member corporations and others who generously provided support to make this one more successful Medfield Day.

Food Court sites are being reserved by Medfield’s finest restaurants and organizations that offer a variety of fast foods for the hungry lunch crowd.  Out on the main concourse the Beckwith Post American Legion and the Medfield Fire Dept are expected to offer their usual: sausages and hot dogs.

Other non-profit organizations frequently have home baked goods and raffles.  All exhibitors must declare any food and drink items to be sold at their booths, regardless of whether in the food court or on the concourse, on the Health Agent’s form.  All helium tanks used for inflating balloons must be securely fixed in a safe upright position. 

The theme for the 32nd Annual Medfield Day is Medfield Treasures.   Exhibitors are reminded that booths will be judged on decorations in keeping with the theme. The best-decorated booth will receive a free registration in 2012. Others in the categories of most representative of the business and most educational will receive special recognition in the form of a plaque. 

Last minute registration may be made through the website www.medfield-memo.org and all reservations must be paid for at Rockland Trust bank or via mail with check made out to MEMO and mailed to MEMO at P.O. Box 6, Medfield MA 02052 by Sept. 1st in order to secure the exhibit site.

Sites not secured by payment on that date may be given to new exhibitors on a first come, first served basis. Medfield businesses are given preference if more than one similar businesses request sites.  Out of town businesses are subjected to a higher registration fee. MEMO member businesses receive a discount on their fees. The fee schedule can be found on the website as well as membership information.
