School and Community Celebrates Kathie Leader
Surprise retirement celebration for long-time school employee, Kathie Leader.

Kathie Leader recently retired after working for the Medfield Public Schools for 37 years! Most recently, Kathie had been the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools.
A few days before her final day at work, Kathie was surprised with a celebration. Many Medfield school employees, past and present were in attendance to say ”thank you” and wish her well in her retirement.
Over her 37 years with the School Department, Kathie held many jobs. She was the coordinator of bus routes quite a few years back when she worked in the Business office, she also worked as Secretary to the Principal at the High School and later became the Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools and finally the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools.

Overall, she worked for four Superintendents; current Superintendent of Schools Jeff Marsden, and prior Superintendents, Bob Maguire, Chris Martes, and Tom Reis. She also worked for Tas Filledes who was the Principal af the High School when she was there. All of them were in attendance at her surprise party!
Co-workers in the Administrative offices, Medfield teachers and secretaries from many of the schools, as well as Town Administrator Mike Sullivan, Selectman Richard DeSorgher, Police Chief Bob Meaney, Fire Chief Bill Kingsbury, Kathie’s husband Bill, and extended family as well as many close friends and Town/School employees enjoyed watching Kathie’s reaction as she greeted and hugged her guests.
