A Space to BE; Meditation, Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Youth Classes
In a world filled with distractions and constant demands, the need for self-care is more important than ever. Our young people are being pulled in so many directions as they try to navigate schoolwork, activities, technology, and friendships. "A Space to BE" Workshops are designed to provide students with a place where they can nurture their practice of self-love and self compassion.
These 45-minute classes aim to foster gratitude, kindness, and encourage open-heartedness. For 8 weeks, students will explore the practice of meditation and mindfulness in a safe and nurturing environment. Anna Mae O’Shea Brooke, experienced meditation teacher and facilitator, will lead the classes offered at Medfield Yoga Studio starting on October 15, 2023. These weekly classes encourage participants to integrate meditation, mindfulness, and self-compassion into their lives, ultimately fostering a sense of belonging and trust within the group.
“A Space to BE" is designed to provide students with a place where they can nurture themselves and support each other. Each week, participants will have the opportunity to dive into quiet meditation, mindful breathwork, and self-reflective practices. Moreover, the class is open to discussing topics generated organically by the small group, ensuring that each session is tailored to the unique needs and interests of the participants.

"We believe that cultivating self-compassion and mindfulness is a powerful tool for young people as they navigate the challenges of today's world," says Anna Mae O’Shea Brooke, the class leader.
