Summer “SWAP Curb Alert" replaces going to the SWAP!

Inquiring Minds in Medfield have been asking, “Will the SWAP SHOP open this summer?” and unfortunately, the answer is “NO”.

But the SWAP SHOP has come up with a new plan. With the Swap Shop unable to open this season due to Covid-19, here’s a way to help folks in town still “SWAP” goods. Instead of dropping off and picking up items at the SWAP, Medfield residents can take part in the first Medfield SUMMER SWAP Curb Alert - beginning July 11th.

This new plan is meant to be SIMPLE and EASY for Medfield residents and a way to give away your no longer needed items.....just place them on the curb in front of your home for others to pick up for FREE!

Beginning July 11th, on EVERY Saturday in July from 9am-1pm put your FREE items out on your curb and take part in the Summer SWAP Curb Alert.

If you’d like to ADVERTISE your treasures, feel free to post your street and any photos on YOUR Facebook page, the Medfield Swap Shop Facebook page (Click HERE for SWAP SHOP Facebook Page Link) and perhaps on the Medfield Area Free Stuff Facebook page as well. Feel free to put up signs, balloons, streamers, etc. in your yard to let people know you have FREE items on your curb

Maybe you have a neighbor that wants to participate too… why not post a Neighborhood Curb Alert! Whatever works for you!

But please be considerate of your nonparticipating neighbors and REMOVE any signage and your stuff before the end of the day.

Everyone is encouraged to Shop!

The SWAP SHOP volunteers hope this will be a great way for residents who are SWAP donors and shoppers to give away some of their items and find new treasures too.

If Curb Alert is a great success in the month of July, it might happen in August too.

Start gathering up your no longer needed treasures NOW so you’ll be ready to participate in July!
