Thirtieth Week, Tuesday's "Medfield Historical Minute"
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A Medfield Historical Minute...
This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.
"In 1901 the Medfield State Hospital was caring for over 1,300 residents. A total of 210 officers and employees administered and provided for their needs. The hospital was overseen by a board of seven trustees, appointed by the governor. A resident superintendent, who was a physician, was appointed by the trustees as well as a staff of four assistant physicians. The steward, treasurer, auditor, chief engineer and matron were also appointed by the trustees."
