A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1718 a new road was laid out between Medfield and Dedham; this is now the section of Main Street (Route 109) that runs from Pound Street near the Peak House down Route 109 through Westwood and into Dedham. Before that time the road from Dedham into Medfield went down what is now Clapboard Tree Street in Westwood, behind where Bubbling Brook Ice Cream Shop is located and into Medfield at Foundry Street, then behind Mt. Nebo and through the High School- Middle School complex and onto Main Street by the Peak House; then into Medfield Center."
