A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1945 Medfield high school boys’ basketball team posted one of the best records ever at Medfield High School, with a 12 and 3 record. Each player was given a varsity basketball letter and a miniature gold basketball during a banquet sponsored by the American Legion and held at the high school auditorium. A chicken-pie catered dinner was served. The team was coached by Francis Walsh. Varsity players were Edward Rayel, Edwin Harlow, Walter Ehnes, David Allan, Charles Mills, Richard Gorman and Herbert Burr."
