A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1926 the Baptist parsonage on 40 South Street was partially destroyed by fire. The fire was contained to the roof, which was totally destroyed. The firemen were handicapped by the lack of water as the reservoir at South and Pound Streets ran dry. A line of hose was then run from Meetinghouse Pond. There was no personal loss to Rev. Pollard and his family. A new roof was quickly built."
