A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1943 Rural Free Delivery of mail celebrated its 40th anniversary in Medfield. It was the second route established in Norfolk County. The route was 24 miles long and covered most of Medfield and parts of Dover and Walpole. It served 125 families. Turner R Bailey was the first carrier and covered the route for 12 years, without the loss of a single day."
