A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1927 fire destroyed the barn of George W. Hinkley located in the rear of the Harding Post Office and used as a garage. Flames also spread to Hinkley house, woodshed and tea room as well as to the post office. While the barn and woodshed were totally destroyed the house, tea room and post office suffered only minor damage. Several acres surround the house were also burned."
