A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1975 Medfield’s first “chain” restaurant, Friendly’s, opened on the corner of Main Street and the newly opened Route 27 (North Meadows Road). It would stay in operation until it closed in 2011, when Friendly’s filed for bankruptcy. The Medfield store became one of 30 that closed throughout the state. It was replaced by the current Duncan Donuts."
