A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1916, before the use of radio, Presidential Election results were posted in the window of Tibbett’s Market on 10 North Street and updated as results came in over the telephone. Town residents gathered outside the front window of the store waiting and watching for the results to come in. In the Election of 1916, Medfield voters supported Republican Charles Evans Hughes over Woodrow Wilson 238-95."
