A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1891 it was reported that the almshouse (poor farm) off West and Bridge Street area was found to be in a very dirty condition, with many articles missing and worn out. Due to the increase in paupers staying at the almshouse, it was necessary to finish off four new rooms in the “ell” part of the house."
