Troop 89 Food Drive to Benefit Medfield Food Cupboard Completed...

Medfield Boy Scout Troop 89 proudly participated in the BSA Mayflower Council's Annual Scouting For Food Event, November 6th-13th.

Troop 89 kicked off the food drive to benefit the Medfield Food Cupboard during their annual Webelos Weekend at Rocky Woods in Medfield and coordinated collections in their neighborhoods. It is estimated that Troop 89 collected about 400lbs of food.

"Much of scouting is about personal growth. One of the concepts we instill is the idea of helping others by doing a good turn daily," said Troop 89 Scoutmaster Hatch. ``Participating in community activities like food drives helps connect the scouting values to the community. We are always happy to support the Medfield Food Cupboard".
