Townwide Master Planning Committee FINAL Virtual Master Plan Public Forum!

YOU ARE INVITED…

The Townwide Master Planning Committee invites everyone to join in the FINAL VIRTUAL MASTER PLAN PUBLIC FORUM (#3) and to Celebrate World Town Planning Day on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

Purpose:

• An Implementation Plan has been developed which outlines the steps necessary to take us from where we are in terms of existing resources (as described in the Inventory) to where we want to go as described in the Vision and set of Goals developed with stakeholder input.
• The Implementation Plan will be comprised of action steps, key responsible parties, possible partners, needed policy changes, and potential funding for implementation.
• The Implementation Plan is organized around the Goals and Objectives which will also be included in the 11/5 issue of the Hometown Weekly

  • Objective 1.1. Celebrate the DOWNTOWN and work to increase its vitality.
  • Objective 1.2. Preserve and enhance Medfield’s HISTORIC RESOURCES
  • Objective 1.3. Protect, enhance, and connect existing NATURAL FEATURES and acquire additional OPEN SPACE
  • Objective 1.4. Guide DEVELOPMENT and REDEVELOPMENT so that is in keeping with the Town’s character.
• GOAL 2.0 Make GETTING AROUND TOWN safe and pleasant
  • Objective 2.1. Reduce traffic congestion and make traveling by AUTOMOBILE safer.
