Twenty-eighth Week, Sunday's "Medfield Historical Minute"
Thank you, Richard DeSorgher for writing "Medfield Historical Minutes" for over 6 months during COVID 19. We appreciate it!

A Medfield Historical Minute...
This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.
"On October 13, 1979 over 600 alumni from Medfield High School classes of 1909 through 1960 gathered for a reunion at the American Legion Hall. The event attracted people from all across the country who had not been “home” for many years. It was the first large scale reunion held in over 15 years and is reputed to be the largest crowd ever assembled at the Legion. The selectmen proclaimed the day” Medfield High School Alumni Day”. The alumni presented gifts to the fund in memory of Maude Washburn, former Medfield teacher and principal of the Memorial School, and to the Council on Aging for use of the Mini-bus."
