Twenty-eighth Week, Thursday's "Medfield Historical Minute"
Thank you, Richard DeSorgher for writing "Medfield Historical Minutes" for over 6 months during COVID 19. We appreciate it!

A Medfield Historical Minute...
This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.
"During the 1892 Presidential election, 90 percent of Medfield registered voters went to the polls. This was the largest percent on record in Medfield. Three hundred and sixty-three residents were registered to vote. The large turnout also secured the election for local Medfield resident Nathan F. Harding, who was elected state representative. Republican Benjamin Harrison defeated Grover Cleveland in Medfield 194 to 110. Cleveland, however, won nationally, defeating President Harrison and becoming the only President serving non-sequential terms."
