A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"During WWI, Medfield participated in all aspects of the war effort such as selling bonds, rationing, bandage making and just being good citizens, even in honest protest. For example, the Liberty Loan Committee reported bond sales were well in excess of quotas assigned to this small town.; against a quota of $143,800, for example, Medfield raised $213, 350 in three drives and an additional $57,000 in earlier drives when no quota had been established."
