A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"Medfield’s first zoning bylaw was passed in 1938 and the first subdivision bylaw in 1951 when the town’s first subdivision was being built in the Summer Street- Lowell Mason Road area. In 1945 the town’s population was 2, 633 with an equal amount living at the state hospital. Following WWII, Medfield faced a very rapid growth in population."
