A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A
little something to read and learn to give you a little break during
this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.
A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"Medfield’s first Board of Selectmen were elected at the official incorporation of the town in May of 1651. Elected to that first Board of Selectmen were Mr. Ralph Wheelock, Timothy Dwight, Robert Hinsdale, John Frairy and Benjamin Alby. Medfield elected five selectmen up until 1847 when it changed to having three elected selectmen, which it has kept to the present day."
