Two new MPD Officers join the force!

Two new Medfield Police Officers were welcomed on Tuesday night at the Board of Selectmen meeting.

Medfield Police welcome 2 new Officers to the MPD...

On Tuesday, April 2nd at the Board of Selectmen meeting, two new Medfield Police Officers were welcomed by the Town Officials. The fathers of both Officer Paul Treggairi and Officer Michael Stanley were given the honor of pinning them in front of family and friends as well as fellow members of the Medfield Police Dept.

Treggairi grew up in Franklin, Mass, graduated from Franklin High School and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Bridgewater State University. He coaches and umpires youth baseball and before being appointed a full-time Police Officer for the Medfield Police Department, he was a full-time police dispatcher in Medfield. He is a second generation police officer as his father, Jimmy, is an officer on the Needham Police Department. Paul currently resides in Medfield.

Stanley grew up in Needham and Newton and graduated from Newton North High School. He is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Prior to being hired as a full-time officer on the Medfield Police force, he worked as a Corrections Officer in the Suffolk County Sheriffs Office. He is an active member of the Air National Guard since 2016. Michael lived in Medfield for 7 years prior to moving back to Needham where he currently resides.

Both Officers just completed 6 months of intensive training at the 66th Plymouth Police Academy. They are now doing their 8 weeks of field training with veteran officers of the Medfield Police department who are specially training in field training. Upon successful completion of their field training, they will be assigned a shift and assume their duties.
