And The Winner of the Medfield Lions Chowder Tasting Is.....

Those who attended were offered 7 Chowders to taste (without knowing which restaurant made the Chowder) and then everyone got to VOTE!

Medfield Lions Mystery Chowder Tasting Voting Results

The Medfield Lions held their annual Chowder Tasting at the Center at Medfield on Saturday, Nov. 9th and they would like to thank everyone who attended, all the local restaurants who took part in donating Chowder to the contest, and to the Council on Aging Director, Sarah Hanifan for her help and support.

Those who attended were offered 7 Chowders to taste (without knowing which restaurant made the Chowder) and then everyone got to VOTE for their Favorite.

The Chowders were numbered as follows:

  1. Perfect Strangers (North Street)
  2. The Village Griddle (Rt 27)
  3. 21 North (North Street)
  4. Noon Hill Grill (Main Street)
  5. AVENUE (Main Street/Janes Ave)
  6. Basil Restaurant (Frairy Street)
  7. Ice House at Kingsbury Club (Ice House Road)

This year (again) the winning Chowder was from AVENUE. It was Chowder #5.

Other donations include Blue Moon Bagel Cafe (Shaw's Plaza) donated fresh baked rolls, DAJE Medfield (Park Street) donated Focaccia, and Russ Hallisey Realtor, donated Oyster Crackers.

In addition, patrons were also offered a chance to win a 50/50 Raffle and the lucky winner received $117.

The Medfield Lions appreciate the support of the community at all their events, and now it is time to look forward to the Medfield Lions Christmas Tree Sales which will begin on Saturday, Nov. 30th in the back lot of St. Edward the Confessor Church on Rt. 27.
