Women's Club welcomes MPL Director for library overview
Medfield Library Director Pam Gardner will give an overview of the MPL & info on Hannah Adams materials in the collection. Public welcome.
On Tuesday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m., The Hannah Adams Woman’s Club will present speaker Pam Gardner, the director of the Medfield Public Library. Ms. Gardner will provide an overview of the library and will also talk about how to reserve books online, secure museum passes, and will also highlight the Hannah Adams materials MPL has in its collection. The public is welcome at the meeting which will take place at the Church of the Advent, __ Pleasant Street. The Hannah Adams Woman's Club is one of the longest continuously running women's groups in America. It was established in 1894 in memory of Medfield resident Hannah Adams (1755-1831, the nation’s first female professional writer) who ran a similar group during her lifetime. The HAWC is committed to supporting women and the community, including the annual Hannah Adams Scholarship (est. 1905).
Interested in joining the club? Dues are $35 per year and include access to monthly meetings, annual events, special activities, and a group of local women who are dedicated to building community.
