YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program Presentation
Join us at the Center at Medfield on Monday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. and learn about the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program. This program is designed to support adults with pre-diabetes in reducing their risk for developing type 2 diabetes. This one year program, beginning this fall, will consist of 25 sessions; provide a welcoming environment where participants work together in small groups to learn about healthier eating and increasing their physical activity. This classroom based program will be offered at the Center at Medfield, and is facilitated by a Y-USA trained Lifestyle Coach. The program includes a 12-week YMCA family membership to the YMCA.
Starting in April 2018, this program will be offered as a covered benefit to Medicare recipients – so there are no out of pocket costs to participate!
