Zullo Gallery “Meet the Artist” Series Continues Into 2022
Inspirational photographer Michael Blanchard kicks off the new year with a virtual talk about the healing power of the arts.
The Zullo Gallery Center for the Arts is continuing its virtual “Meet the Artist” series to feature a variety of nationally and internationally recognized creators of music, fiber arts, photography, and other artistic mediums.
The series was launched in 2021 with award-winning children’s book author and illustrator David Biedrzycki, and will continue into 2022 with these featured artists to date:
• Michael Blanchard (Thursday, Feb. 3, 7 p.m.) -- an inspirational photographer and author on Martha’s Vineyard whose work and life story about resiliency, overcoming addiction, and the healing power of the arts, has helped countless others. Blanchard has more than 50,000 Facebook followers, has written two books, and has spoken to groups across the U.S.

• Jeannet Leendertse (Thursday, Feb. 17, 7 p.m.) – an award-winning fiber artist who has exhibited her work in prominent museums and galleries locally and a far, and who has been featured in international publications. Her most recent exhibit was held at the Cahoon Museum of American Art in Barnstable.
• Jerry Bergonzi and Geraldine Bergonzi (Sunday, March 6, 3:30 p.m.) -- Jerry Bergonzi is an internationally renowned saxophonist, composer, author and educator; Geraldine Bergonzi is a highly regarded jazz vocalist, pianist, performer and educator. Beyond their major achievements in the music industry, they have helped to guide and inspire many young musicians.

Each free “Meet the Artist” talk will be held virtually via Zoom with registration information for Michael Blanchard's talk now on Eventbrite.com. Information will soon be posted on the Zullo Gallery Facebook page and newly redesigned Zullogallery.org.
Anyone who signs up to follow the Zullo Gallery on Eventbrite will receive notifications for future “Meet the Artist” events.
Donations to the non-profit Zullo Gallery can be made on the Eventbrite registration page. Everyone who registers for the Michael Blanchard talk prior to Jan. 31 will be entered into a drawing for an autographed copy of his book "Through a Sober Lens" or "Fighting for My Life."
The Zullo “Meet the Artist” series is funded in part by a grant from the Medfield Cultural Council, a local agency supported by Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
