MEDFORD, MA — A Haines Square recently celebrated a significant milestone

Marrone said the key to remaining in business at the same location for five decades has been a passion for her craft and a commitment to providing quality service.

"Today we celebrated this incredible milestone with a ribbon cutting honoring Rosanna's legacy and commitment to the community for the past half century," Lungo-Koehn said in a statement.

Le Grand Chic specializes in tailoring and alterations for men's and women's clothing, including bridal gowns, prom dresses, formalwear, leather garments, and other specialty apparel. The shop also provides custom tailoring, repairs, and restyling services for customers from Medford and surrounding communities.

According to public business records, Marrone has owned and operated the family business since it opened in 1976. The shop has remained in Haines Square throughout its five decades in business, a milestone that has become increasingly uncommon for independently owned retailers navigating changing shopping habits and rising operating costs.

The business's website says Le Grand Chic is committed to providing personalized service and quality craftsmanship, with experienced tailors and seamstresses working on everything from everyday clothing alterations to custom and special occasion garments.
