2. 2 Arrested In Connection With Medford Shooting (patch.com) — Medford neighbors along Salem Street are hearing that two Lynn men have been arrested in connection with a mid-August shooting in their area that fortunately caused no injuries. Police say community surveillance footage and tips were crucial in identifying the suspects, who now face multiple firearm and assault charges after being arraigned in Somerville District Court.
3. New Medford Child Care Center Celebrates Grand Opening (patch.com) — Families in Medford have a new child care option as Bonsai Learning Academy opens a play-based preschool location inside Shiloh Baptist Church in West Medford, supported by Community Preservation Act funds for accessibility and restoration. Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn joined the ribbon-cutting, highlighting the project as both an investment in historic space and in local families seeking small-scale, relationship-focused early education.
