Medford Diner To Remain Open Under New Ownership (patch.com) β Medford residents can look forward to the Paul Revere Restaurant staying open in West Medford under new local ownership, rather than closing as previously announced. After more than 25 years, the Schanda family is stepping back for health reasons and passing the beloved High Street diner to two longtime Medford residents, with more details on the transition still to come.

2. Medford Puts $170K In Opioid Settlement Funds Toward Recovery Services (patch.com) β Medford is directing $170,000 from statewide opioid settlements into local recovery, prevention, and mental health services, with plans to keep investing about $100,000 a year through 2038. Programs already funded include recovery coaching, youth prevention, Narcan distribution, sober home scholarships, and outreach to unhoused residents, all shaped by input from Medford families and service providers.

3. 3 Hospitalized After MBTA Bus Crashes Onto Lawn In Medford (patch.com) β An out-of-service MBTA bus crashed through an intersection on the Fellsway near Salem Street and ended up on the lawn of a Medford home Thursday morning, sending the driver and two motorists to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe the 62-year-old operator suffered a medical emergency before striking several vehicles and a parked car, and MBTA Transit Police are reconstructing the crash.

No. 21 Volleyball Upsets No. 2 Trinity In Straight Sets (gotuftsjumbos.com) β Tufts volleyball just delivered a big home win in Medford, sweeping No. 2βranked Trinity University of Texas in straight sets during their 2026 home opener. The Jumbos, now 3-2, will be back on the court Saturday hosting Salisbury University at 1:30 p.m. and Bowdoin College at 5 p.m. inside Cousens Gymnasium.
