Melrose Nursing Home Assault Reported: Police Log
Also: Child turns in $100; Domestic assault reported.

MELROSE, MA — The following are excerpts from the Melrose Police log. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Monday, Dec. 3
10:25 a.m. - Police said a caller at the Melrose Care Center nursing home reported past assault. Police did not offer any details of the assault, citing medical privacy, but confirmed to Patch the suspect is a staff member. A 55-year-old Methuen woman was issued a summons on charges of assault and battery on a person over 60/disabled with injury.

8:15 p.m. - A 34-year-old Everett man was arrested on warrant charges after he fled an argument at Melrose-Wakefield between his mother and brother following a drug overdose. He had three warrant charges.

4:02 p.m. - A child turned in a $100 bill found on Franklin Street near Main.
Thursday, Dec. 6
5:56 p.m. - Caller on Lake Ave. reports aggressive solicitor entering homes unannounced.
6:33 p.m - Complaint of aggressive soliciting on West Emerson.
Sunday, Dec. 9
12:40 p.m. - A 51-year-old Melrose man was arrested on charges of domestic assault or assault and battery charges stemming from a disturbance reported in an East Foster home.
