A simple gesture for our local heroes.

Melrose Dog Society volunteers and board members cleared 4 bags of trash from the parking lot, green space on the knoll, and the athletic fields surrounding the WWI Memorial Wednesday evening. A small gesture to ensure the City of Melrose's services for our fallen heroes will be pristine this weekend. Thank you to all who served our country so bravely! Earlier this month MDS president Lisa Tulipani assisted the Ell Pond Improvement Council in removing massive amounts of trash and debris from the entire Ell Pond area as part of Ell Pond Clean Up Day - they even had a volunteer pulling debris from the pond from her kayak!  Both the Melrose Dog Society and Ell Pond Improvement Council plan on partnering up for future activities to help promote responsible and respectable use of Melrose's green spaces.
