Melrose-Wakefield Hospital Receives Donation

Hallmark Health System’s Melrose-Wakefield Hospital recently accepted a generous donation from Bob and Marie Struzziero, of Swampscott.

The family made the donation in honor of Bob Struzziero’s father, Alexander, who passed away last year at the age of 93. He had received care on a number of occasions at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and had also served on Hallmark Health’s Board of Trustees for many years.

“My wife Marie and I are most pleased to donate our gift to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital’s Emergency Department,” said Bob Struzziero. “Dad was often rushed to the hospital during illness and the care, compassion and professionalism provided by the dedicated personnel of the ER was just incredible. We know that our gift will help continue the quality and dignity of care that patients receive when they arrive in the ER.”

“Dad was all about community and was very proud to say that he was part of the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and Hallmark Health communities,” he continued. “We can see why the Boston Bruins decided to partner up with Hallmark Health – care and community.”
