PHOTO: Self-Reflected (In a Fisheye)

A reflection in Rockport.

The start of the week has already turned out to be much longer than wanted. However, I'll push through it, because that's what I do.

I decided to put up this self-portrait taken in Rockport MA, because I still have a number of photos to get through from that series and then I have new photographs from Boston that I took over the weekend.

The shot about was taken with my new Lensbaby Fisheye optic. It turns out that I'm really loving what this lens can do. It might not be the clearest lens, but for street photography it has been interesting. It has such a wide angle of focus, that people will stop, because they think you're taking a specific shot. They don't understand that even if you're three feet over to my left/right, I can still see you and get a photo.

It was interesting, because I went with a different friend, but it's someone that brought an unexpected element to my photography by modeling. I guess you can call it modeling. She went and did something, I liked it, I asked her to turn a little bit of her body position and took the shot. Matter of fact, I took multiple shots.

I can't wait to go through them, but it might not be until Wednesday, when I feel like there is a little bit of free time for myself.

Time, I've been thinking that word more and more lately.  I seem to have less of it for myself and I might have to fix that.
