
Keeping Jazz Alive, an annual showcase of outstanding jazz music, returns to Temple Beth Shalom in Melrose on Saturday, June 27. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8:00 p.m.
Bassist Bruce Gertz leads the ensemble, joined by Steve Hunt on piano, Gary Fieldman on drums, vocalist Cassandra McKinley, Sheryl Bailey on guitar, and jazz harmonicist Mike Turk.
Attendees will enjoy the music in an intimate room known for its fantastic acoustics. A cash bar with beer and wine will be available.
The memorial concert in honor of longtime Temple member and jazz fan Irving Smolens has become a much-anticipated tradition.
