Drop off "gives" accepted only until 11 am.
You do not have to bring something to take something! Or take something if dropping off. EVERYTHING IS FREE!
PLEASE ONLY BRING GENTLY USED ITEMS IN GOOD CONDITION FOR REUSE. If you wouldn't give it to a friend, don't bring it to Swap Day. 
CAREFULLY review the event flyer for the accepted (and not accepted) categories of items. ALL ITEMS WILL BE INSPECTED AT DROP-OFF.

Considered by many to be an integral part of the national folk scene – and one of the originators of the finally recognized R&amp;B/Folk/Jazz crossover-sub-genre – this Boston-based stalwart was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. In 1992, Shawn Colvin invited him to be special guest on her Fat City tour. “With the voice of an angel, the wit of a devil, and the guitar playing of a god…,” swooned The Fort Worth StarTelegram about one of those shows.This concert will be held outside on the patio at Follow Your Art Community Studios, weather permitting. If the concert must be moved indoors, ticketholders will be notified and details will be posted to our social media.

Gentle Giant Rowing Club : Blessing of the Bay Boathouse

Have you ever wondered about the sport of rowing?
Now is your chance to check it out!&nbsp; On Saturday, June 6th from 10am-1pm, you can come down to Gentle Giant Rowing Club in Somerville and take some strokes.&nbsp; Rowing is the ultimate team sport and GGRC is conveniently located on the Mystic River in Somerville, MA - right off of the Mystic Ave Exit on Rt 93 and about a 15 minute walk from the Assembly Row Orange Line station.
When you come down, you’ll first learn some basics on our RowErgs and then head down to the dock where you’ll get in our training barge or one of our boats.&nbsp; Our rowers and coaching staff will guide you through your first strokes in a “sweep” boat and you’ll then have an opportunity to take some sculling strokes in one of our training singles - they will have pontoons on them for stability to keep you dry.
Rowing isn’t just about the sport, it’s also about the community.&nbsp; Rowers are supportive of each other both on and off the water.&nbsp; You’ll find that our club is friendly and welcoming to new members with learn to row classes throughout the summer - for adults and youth!

I play the melody on my fiddle while teaching and prompting. Our focus is dances of the 17th century that were brought to New England by the colonists. For any who wish to try playing the melodies, sheet music is available and playing by ear or improvisation are encouraged. 
These baroque tunes make one want to dance! The dances are accessible and the dancers are mostly newcomers so, don't expect a "performance" but rather a nice participatory community event for all ages and abilities.
