Knock on Wood, a lively acoustic folk-rock duo featuring Melrose's Howie Newman, is playing its sixth annual community fundraiser, an outdoor concert to benefit the Pantry of Hope on Sunday, Aug. 2 from 6-7:30 p.m. The event takes place at the First Baptist Church, 561 Main St., Melrose.
In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held indoors at the church.
The concert is free but the proceeds from donations will go to the Pantry of Hope, a food pantry run by the First Baptist Church. This event has raised more than $2,000 the past two years.
