The Unitarian Universalist Church of Melrose Fellowship Committee is hosting a traditional New England Community Folk Dance for all ages and abilities, with live music. Come celebrate the summer with a family-friendly "barn dance" in this beautiful hall. For anyone with young children and those wanting extra instruction, we will start at 6:30 p.m. but come when you can; instruction for novices will continue throughout the evening for each of the easy, fun dances (squares, waltzes, Virginia Reel, circles, and more). Cammy Kaynor will teach and prompt the dances. Come try some steps on the dance floor, try playing one of the tunes, and even if you don’t want to dance, come listen to the music, socialize with neighbors, and enjoy light refreshments with friends. This is a FREE event! (donations are welcome but not required).
