Join Zero Waste Melrose for a special post-Halloween recycling initiative to collect candy and granola bar wrappers, plus chip and snack bags. Empties will be sent to TerraCycle and transformed into new products like watering cans and raw materials for outdoor decking, playground surfaces, and more!
 Ensure your foil-lined or flexible plastic-based items are clean, empty, and dry before dropping them off:
Thursday, October 29: Melrose Farmers' Market, ZWM table (2:30-6:30 p.m.)
Thursday, October 29-Monday, November 9: Melrose YMCA lobby (497 Main Street) and 41 Albion Street (porch)

The First Congregational Church in Melrose, United Church of Christ, will host its Fourth Annual Antique Show &amp; Sale on Saturday October 24, 2026 from 10am-3pm at 121 West Foster Street in Melrose. This show continues to grow in popularity each year, and we have new &amp; returning dealers from all over the greater Boston area! This year, as an added feature, we welcome Dan Meader from John McInnnis Auctioneers in Amesbury, MA for free antique valuations. Bring one or two items to the show and Mr. Meader will provide a verbal estimate of value, and perhaps some interesting information about the items brought in. Complimentary valuations are limited to two pieces per attendee and will be offered from 11:00am until 2:00pm.
In addition to the antiques &amp; vintage items, there will be home baked treats and coffee in the morning, and a lunch/snack bar starting at 11:30am. Admission is only $6. There is plenty of parking and the building is handicap accessible.
