Drugs, Gun, Cash Recovered In Route 1 Saugus Traffic Stop: Police
Two North Shore residents are facing a host of charges after being pulled over for speeding in a black Mercedes.

SAUGUS, MA — Two North Shore residents are facing drug and gun charges after being arrested during a traffic stop on Route 1 early Sunday morning.
State Police pulled over a black Mercedes along the Route 99 off-ramp for speeding shortly after midnight. Police said they found 100 Oxycodone pills, a Springfield SD-40 with 8 live cartridges, and $7,582 in cash.
The person behind the wheel, Irving Terrero, 25, of Lynn, and his passenger, Chayanne Sanchez, 23, of Peabody, were arrested and held on $75,000 bail.

Both were charged with trafficking in Class A, possession to distribute Class A, carrying a loaded large capacity firearm, possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm during a felony, and possession of a large capacity firearm.
Terrero was also charged with using a motor vehicle without authority, speeding, registration not in possession, and being a felon in possession of a firearm; Sanchez was additionally charged with not wearing a seatbelt.
