Ex-Melrose Basketball Star Shot, Killed In Boston
Kendric Price was found shot to death in a Dorchester home early Saturday morning, police said.

MELROSE, MA — Kendric Price, a former star basketball player at Melrose High, was shot and killed in Dorchester early Saturday morning. Boston Police confirmed Price as the victim Sunday morning, saying he was found shot to death at a Greenwood Street home when authorities arrived around 3 a.m.
Price, 32, was an assistant coach for the UMass-Boston men's basketball team, the school said.
Price played basketball at Melrose, starting as a freshman in 2002, before going to BB&N and the University of Michigan. His player bio says he was an accomplished jazz musician and choir singer.

"With a heavy heart we share Kendric Price former standout basketball player, more importantly all star student & tremendous human being was shot & killed last night," Melrose Athletics tweeted. "After he left us Kendric continued his schooling & playing @bb&N then Michigan! Pray for his family."
Boston Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call 617-343-4470.
