State Representative Paul Brodeur (D-Melrose) is pleased to share information about two events for the whole family to enjoy in Boston this summer.
One of only four surviving copies of the original Magna Carta has traveled to Massachusetts for a special exhibition. The document was written in 1215 and serves as a symbol for liberty around the world. The Magna Carta was a source of inspiration for our Founding Fathers, presidents, and abolitionists.
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston will proudly display this historic document. The Magna Carta will be at the Museum of Fine Arts starting today, July 2nd, through September 1st. The MFA is open seven days a week. Admission is by voluntary contribution on Wednesdays after 4 PM and is free on Friday, July 18th, courtesy of the Highland Street Foundation “Free Fun Fridays” program.
