The view is awesome;
magnificent! The frozen lake is covered
with snow and there is a family in a ski mobile just riding around in the
splendor of the day.

Birch trees bare of leaves, have
coats of white snow on every branch and twig. The green trees look like a
Christmas Currier and Ives painting.

The birds are at the feeders,
chickadees and goldfinch; the smallest and seemingly strongest of the species
fly from the trees to the feeders, and back to the protection of the trees.

Last night snowfall, about 3 inches,
has left the area.

Icicles hang from the roofs edges and
the sky is as blue as blue can be.

A slight breeze gently moves the
branches of the trees; and across the lake the tall pines reach for the heavens
protecting all here from the outside world.

This is the time of calm, and peace;
the time to dream and believe that all is well, and the moment in time to pray
that it will be so.
