First, Last Melrose Police Log Entries As Year Changes

MELROSE, MA — The first weekly police log of 2019 was a relatively quiet one.

The final police log entry of 2018 was for a dropped 911 call on Clinton Road, coming at 11:29 p.m. Police cleared it with no problem.

The first police log entry of 2019 was made at 12:46 a.m. for a past breaking and entering report at the 41 Bellevue Ave. There was a report of two teenagers trying to break into a car. Police were unable to locate.

Tuesday, Jan. 1

2:12 p.m. - Person turned in a gift card found on West Wyoming at Pleasant.

Wednesday, Dec. 2

8:10 a.m. - An altercation between two residents at the Melrose Care Center nursing home was reported.

Friday, Jan. 4

9:53 p.m. - Caller reported a disturbance on Tappan Street. A 22-year-old Melrose woman was issued a summons on charges of domestic assault or assault and batter and witness/juror/police/court official intimidation.

Saturday, Dec. 5

6:53 p.m. - Caller reports intoxicated man jumping in front of cars at the Melrose/Wakefield border.

Sunday, Dec. 6

1:41 a.m. - Caller on Bellevue reports someone throwing a brick or rock through her window.
