FREE CONCERT: Pantry of Hope benefit June 29

The First Baptist Church of Melrose, 561 Main St., will be hosting a free outdoor concert by folk-rock duo Knock on Wood on Sunday, June 29, from 6-7:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted with the proceeds donated to the Pantry of Hope, the church’s community food pantry.

In the event of rain, the event will be held indoors at the church.

Knock on Wood, featuring longtime Melrose resident Howie Newman and fiddler Joe Kessler, performs well-known rock covers and funny original songs (suitable for all ages). Their varied repertoire includes everything from Tom Petty to the Beatles to the Dire Straits.
