Gas Station Pump Goes Rogue: Melrose Police Log

MELROSE, MA — The following are excerpts derived from last week's Melrose police log. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Monday, Aug. 19

10:44 a.m. — A 34-year-old East Boston man was issued a summons on charges of having an unregistered motor vehicle and and uninsured motor vehicle on Green Street.

10:48 a.m. — A well-being check resulted in the arrest of a 59-year-old man who lives on Albion Street on a domestic assault or assault and battery charge.

5:44 p.m. — A caller reported a broken gas pump at a Main Street gas station that sprayed in the person's "mouth and all over."

Tuesday, Aug. 20

2:39 p.m. — A report of harassment on Lebanon Street resulted in a 23-year-old Revere person issued a summons on a charges of criminal harassment.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

7:45 a.m. — Report of a vehicle egged on Grove Street.

12:58 p.m. — A man on Pleasant Street told police his wife wouldn't give him his keys.

Friday, Aug. 23

2:52 p.m. — A 57-year-old Medford man is issued a summons on a charge of domestic assault or assault and battery after a report of abuse in the hospital.

Monday, Aug. 26

1:12 a.m. — Report of four teen boys walking up Mount Vernon checking inside cars and causing vandalism to recycling bins. Police found boys, who ran away. One of the boys was found, made to clean up the trash and brought back home to his parents.
